David Rife,
a
professional
violinist, was born in Charleston, South Carolina
in
1958.
He performs as a member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, the TSO String Quartet, and
the Southwest String Quartet.
David
also
maintains
a
large
studio
of
violin
students,
many
of
whom
have
placed
in
numerous
competitions
and
have
gone
on
to
study
music
at
many
prestigious
music
schools.
David
is
a
self-taught
artist.
He
prefers watercolor paints although he also uses pen and ink and watercolor pencils. He likes to paint
with
Maimeri, Van Gogh, Rowney, Windsor and Newton watercolor paints and Arches watercolor paper.
His favorite online art stores are Utrecht and Dick Blick.
